India is an agriculture-based country, and millions of families depend on farming for their livelihood. Farming is full of challenges such as uncertain rainfall, rising costs, and low crop prices. To support farmers financially, the central government runs the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which has become a major relief for farmer families across the country.
Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 every year. This amount is paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). So far, 22 installments have already been released, and now farmers are waiting for the 23rd installment.
When Will the 23rd Installment Be Released?
Many farmers are eagerly asking when the next installment will arrive. Based on the pattern of previous payments, there is usually a gap of around four months between each installment. Since the 22nd installment was released in March 2026, the 23rd installment is expected to reach farmers’ bank accounts around July 2026.

However, the government has not yet announced an official release date. In previous years, installments were sometimes released during special government events or national celebrations. Farmers should wait for updates only from official government sources.
Complete These Important Tasks to Avoid Delay
Farmers should not wait until the last moment, as missing important formalities may stop the payment from reaching their accounts.
e-KYC Is Mandatory
Electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) is compulsory for all PM Kisan beneficiaries. Without completing e-KYC, farmers may not receive the installment even if they are eligible. Farmers can complete this process online at pmkisan.gov.in or by visiting their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
Link Aadhaar with Bank Account
Aadhaar must be linked with the bank account to receive money through DBT. If Aadhaar is not linked, payment may fail. Farmers should visit their bank branch and complete Aadhaar seeding as soon as possible.
Finish Land Verification
Land verification is another necessary requirement under the scheme. This confirms that the beneficiary owns eligible agricultural land. If land records are incomplete or unverified, the installment may be delayed. Farmers should contact local revenue officials if verification is pending.
Who Cannot Receive PM Kisan Benefits?
Not everyone involved in agriculture is eligible for this scheme. Government employees, income taxpayers, constitutional post holders, and pensioners receiving more than ₹10,000 per month cannot receive benefits. Professionals such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers are also excluded from the scheme.
How to Check Beneficiary List and Payment Status
Farmers can easily check their name and installment status from home using a mobile phone or computer.
Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in and click on “Beneficiary List.” Enter your state, district, tehsil, block, and village details, then click “Get Report.” The full list of beneficiaries in your village will appear on the screen.
To check installment status, click on “Beneficiary Status” and enter your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number.
PM Kisan Scheme Has Helped Millions
The PM Kisan scheme has become one of India’s most successful farmer support programs. So far, the government has distributed more than ₹4.27 lakh crore under this scheme, helping millions of farmers across the country.
Final Advice for Farmers
Farmers should stay alert and avoid middlemen who promise payments for money. The entire process is digital and can be completed directly or through authorized CSC centers. To receive the July installment on time, complete e-KYC, Aadhaar linking, and land verification without delay.
